The Ska is Dead Tour is rolling. I'm on tour with Mustard Plug and Catch 22. Here's a photo from the show last night in Portland. It was the best show of the tour for me so far. Super fun. Check out the tour diary. I'll be trying to keep up on it the rest of the tour.

MU330 just wrapped up a 6 week round the US tour. Thanks to everybody who came out to the shows. It felt great to be back on the road. We're spending the next couple weeks writing music for our next album.

The big news right now is that I've just been added to the "Ska is Dead" tour with Mustard Plug, Catch 22, Planet Smashers, Big D and The Kid's Table, and Suburban Legends. I'll be playing solo opening up the tour. Chris Murray is playing on the Canada leg of the tour too. I'm super psyched about this tour. I'll be riding with Mustard Plug, which should be a blast. I just finished up a tour with MU330 in the UK/ Russia / and Europe. You can check out tourdates and the tour diary on the MU330 page. Right now I'm hanging out in Brighton, waiting for the rest of "Electrodan" to fly in to London on the 8th. In the meantime, I'm hopping on a show tonight in Guildford. Should be fun.

I play tonight at UCSC at Cowell college. I'm pretty psyched. It's my last show in the States until the end of July. I leave in two weeks for England/ Russia/ Europe, and I'll be on tour overseas until July 19th. yahoo!

It's Monday, and I'm catching up on e-mails and web page stuff after being on tour for two weeks. One interesting/weird development with the Electrodan tour in the UK this summer is that when we play in Brighton, we're opening for the Misfits! Crazy. Anyway, we're also playing this huge 4 day festival in Morcambe, EN. Click the link to see the insane list of bands that we're playing with.

I'm on my way to El Paso with Treephort. Wow, it's a long drive across TX. I've done it a million times, but somehow I manage to erase it from my memory! Just 2 more shows left on this tour. It's really flown by. I've recently updated the photo galleries and the tour diary so check em out! Hopefully I'll have a copy of the video that we filmed for "They're Talking" within a week or so. I think it's about finished.

Last night I played with the Wack Trucks in Muskegon at the ice pick. It was a super fun show. Lots of people were throwing beer cans at me the entire time. I'm pretty sure that for the most part, it was their way of telling me that they loved me.

New tour diary stuff is up too.

I'm on the way back home from Brighton, England. Last night's show at the Concorde was packed. I'm not sure what the official count was, but I know it was over 400 people. whoo hoo! Check out the updated tour diary. I'll be in vegas this weekend. Yikes! I better buy a ticket. That kind of crept up on me.

I'm at the Dallas Fort Worth airport waiting for my flight to London. the UK/Europe/Scandinavian tour is underway! Click on the tour dates above to see if I'll be anywhere near your town. I'll be updating the "tour diary" as often as I can get my laptop online while I'm on the other side of the world.

I'm sick as a dog today. In fact, that's all I've done today is lay in bed with Ellie and Roo. I taught one guitar lesson, and laid in bed. I need to get better soon. Just got back from FL. Played a couple shows in south FL w/ MU330 and had a lot of fun and met lots of cool people, and reconnected with some old friends and fans. It was a great trip, and we were lucky enough to get to stay a few extra days and go down to the keys and go snorkeling. Amazing. I saw sharks.. and they weren't swimming in circles. They were just hanging out on the bottom waiting to eat things. I posted a bunch of new tour dates. No fair coming up to me at shows any more and telling me that I never update my web page!

The show in Stockton at the Caffeine Den was a great. Big thank you's to Middah and to the Lemur Society who were really fun, and played an amazing cover of a Mustard Plug song!

I'm on an updating rampage! There's lots of new tour dates up, and a new bio, and I've got the correct PO Box up now and fixed some other stuff. Yahoo! Keep checking back for more stuff. OK, if this is up on the page, I've finally figured out how to post things on my own web page. This is a huge victory for me. I have been trying to learn how to do this for a couple months now, and Teddy gave me a crash course on New Year's Day, and things are starting to make sense. Dan will be playing shows in England and Switzerland before joining up with the rest of MU330 for their month long jaunt across the European continent.

SWEETS and MEATS was released back in November and if you haven't heard it, what are you waiting for? I apologize for not getting this thing updated sooner but there's a lot going on that you should know about.

First there will be a NEW Dan Potthast album out in November called "Sweets and Meats". This album maintains the songwriting style from "eyeballs" while broadening the sound by filling it out with more guitars, bass, drums and keys. James from Slow Gherkin and Lance from Bitchy (and recording genius) lended their talents as well.

Second, Dan will be playing shows in the UK in November and possibly some U.S. dates as well. Check HERE for dates.

I'm getting closer and closer to being ready to record "Sweets and Meats," the next Dan Potthast record. I've started playing with James (Who likes sweets), the singer from slow Gherkin. I've been showing him my new songs, and he's been playing some second guitar, and some organ on some stuff, and I'm really excited about how it sounds. The plan is for some of the songs on the next album to have a bit more fuller sond than "Eyeballs" had, mixed with some of the stripped down, just vocals and guitar sound too. Lance (Who likes meats), the sondman from Blue Meanies/Alkaline Trio is going to record it and play some drums on it too. He's the guy that recorded the MU330 live album, and the new MU330 record that hasn't been released yet. He is a genius, as is James, so I'm hoping that by working with them a little bit more, it will rub off on me!

"Howzit everyone! I just got back from a short midwest tour with MU330, and it was really great. We got to go camping on two of our days off in Kettle Marine national forest in Wisconsin. We rented canoes and went canoeing on a huge lake at night. It was lots of fun.
